The Nose Knows….
The thought of buying a house was so incredibly stressful. We tried it once before, but felt too rushed and the realtor we were working with was not a good fit for us. So, we scratched it and decided to rent for a year and try again. We randomly came across Maggie through a rental listing she had on Zillow. We called her up! She listened to our needs and got us in to that rental house quickly. We instantly clicked with her and we knew that after our year of renting that we would be contacting her again and working with her to buy our first house. Maggie has the type of personality that makes you feel like you have been friends for years! She talked to us like we were people she cared about and not just someone she wants to sell something to. She made the whole house hunting process fun and less stressful than the first time we started! She listened to us and sent us listings that fit our “Needs and Wants” list! I loved house hunting with Maggie! As soon as she would open a door to a potential house, she would stick her nose in and take a deep whiff! If there was ANYTHING that she smelled that didn’t seem right, she let us know instantly ( I swear, she can identify the different scents of anything! )! Not only did I find it absolutely hilarious, but I loved that she was looking out for us and not just looking for a commission! After we found THE house, she was there every step of the way to talk us through it all. She answered our phone calls, texts, and emails, and didn’t leave us hanging. This experience with her was better than I could have ever imagined! I am sitting in our new house right now, completely in love with it, and I am in complete awe as to how easy this whole process was. We highly recommend working with Maggie!
Finally, Four Seasons!
Buying a home seems like a dream-like process. HGTv would have you believe that you can get everything you want in the course of a weekend. The reality is home shopping involves long hours and can be disappointing, tiresome, and even dirty. This is where having the right realtor comes in. Anyone can walk you through a move-in ready home, but it takes a true professional to find the right house for the right person. With Maggie Rogers’ understanding of square pegs and round holes you won’t be wasting your time in homes that won’t work for you and you’ll get a clear vision of houses that will work for your situation. It helps that she has a great, peppy personality that makes stepping over someone else’s dirty laundry an adventure in seeking a real estate jewel rather than the mess that it really is. Personally, it took me 5 months to find and close on the home that I loved and wanted. Maggie didn’t let me settle when my heart sank during the process and when the right home did come along she battled to get me the best deal possible during the negotiation process. She has a network of very qualified professionals to call in when it comes to inspections, home repairs, etc. and when you are moving in from out of town this is extremely helpful. I purchased my home 5 months ago and I still can call Maggie to ask for advice or referrals. I can’t wait to refer a friend or family member to Maggie for their home buying or selling needs!
Working with Maggie was a wonderful experience. She was able to listen to our many needs and find us the home of our dreams. As first time home buyers we had many questions and concerns but Maggie was able to guide us through the process easily. Her realistic attitude helped us to make crucial decisions about the type of house and neighborhood we were really looking for.
Job Relocation in a Down Economy
Maggie Rogers was a God send for my wife and I. The first realtor I had did nothing and less to help me find what I needed. We were relocating from Florida and had some pretty restrictive requests as renters (property type, size, and pets). Not only did she make sure she was available at the times my tough schedule allowed, but then verified the pet restrictions and the locations we desired. Maggie also gave me invaluable assistance looking at properties that my wife would approve of since she couldn’t be there. Without her amazing knowledge and expertise we likely would have ended up somewhere terrible. I feel she went far beyond what most realtors will do to help out a client and make sure you are happy. When we are ready to buy, she will be the ONLY realtor I will work with.
It gives me great pleasure to recommend Realtor Maggie Rogers. Maggie was referred to my husband and me by a work associate when we relocated from Cecil County, MD to Deale. Because we were in the process of selling our home, we were uncertain as to when we would move and whether we’d be renting or buying. In addition, we were looking in both Calvert and Anne Arundel Counties. Maggie worked with us for six months, patiently navigating us through the relocation process. While many realtors won’t work with renters because of low commissions, Maggie searched tirelessly for the perfect home for us in both the rental and sale markets, never pressuring us toward buying and always focusing on what was best for our family. While showing us houses, it was clear Maggie has a discriminating eye–she was quick to point out structural problems and design flaws that we didn’t even notice, especially once we became emotionally attached to a property. She often served as our voice of reason. Most importantly, Maggie was highly available and responsive, answering phone calls and emails promptly, and getting us in to see houses on sometimes very short notice. Once we did decide on a home (and it was in fact, a rental), Maggie moved swiftly to get our application in and advocated strongly for us when negotiating the lease. Maggie is friendly, loyal, knowledgeable and resourceful with a contagious “can do” positive attitude. You can be sure that when our family is ready to purchase our next home Maggie will be the first person we call.
I worked with Maggie Rogers of Long and Foster to sell my previous house and buy my new home in Annapolis, Maryland. Let me tell you that she is first-class! Through the entire process, she led me through dealing
with tough markets, home staging to look best for potential buyers, setting a price, negotiating with buyers/sellers, effectively dealing with mortgage, title companies, banks, lawyers, moving companies etc. She was always in contact with me about new postings/updates to make sure I received expert help to quickly and efficiently sell my house and buy a new one. When she recommended other specialists (title, inspectors, etc), each name she provided turned out to be top notch. After working with her for several months it was apparent that she is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, hardworking and someone that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. Do yourself a favor and get Maggie Rogers on your side, a great real estate agent for either buying or selling your home.
The Extra Mile
We have had a number of agents over the last 30 years, and Maggie is by far the best. She has a feel for what is right for you, and goes far beyond “the extra mile”. Most agents even if they work for you, are not working for your best interest all the time. We never felt that way with Maggie. She learns neighborhoods and she learns about YOU. She does her homework. I would recommend her to anyone wishing to buy or sell in Anne Arundel County. June 3, 2012
Thank you for the great service that resulted in the sale of our home. It was not the easiest sale, but you stuck with it until the deal was made. We are happy to recommend your services to other folks who want to buy or sell a home.
