Exciting Updates & Changes

Since It’s easier to copy and paste my newsletter as a blog post, that’s what I’ve decided to do. To some it may sound like a rehash of my earlier posts but to new folks it’s a quick update of what’s been going on. Enjoy!

It’s been a crazy year! We’ve had a lot of updates and quite a few changes in our family.

Updates:

I don’t know what made me take the leap, but sometime in the last year I decided I needed a designated webpage, independent of the Long & Foster website, and all my Long & Foster brethren. I spoke with a few designers and thought it shouldn’t be too hard. Cameron, my husband, convinced me we could do this on our own. Little did I know the first hurdle would be choosing a domain name and the stress of picking a name would cripple me for an extended period of time that I’m too embarrassed to admit. Cameron was finally able to find one on the fly and GetMaggie.com was born!… Now what?…. My domain name turned out to be the easiest part and I couldn’t even take credit. Months of toiling, writing, crying, and I finally called in an expert. I didn’t care what it cost. I was sick of trying to move things and having them disappear or not cooperate. Done! It was worth it. GetMaggie.com has a few things I think you’ll enjoy. First, it’s a simple website without a lot of clutter, that was my main focus. I also have a Testimonials tab, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and a Blog page. I really enjoy the blog page and you’ll read everything from what’s going on in my business to what’s on my mind. I hope you enjoy it and if you have anything you’d like to see or a question to add, please email me!

Changes:

On July 10th my husband retired from the United States Air Force. I am so proud of him and the sacrifices he has made for our family and country these past 24 years. It’s a new adventure we are embarking on that has us both a little nervous but also excited. He has given up shaving for awhile and I’m excited to see the new look. It’s the little things in life.

* A nod to real estate since I AM a realtor and this Should contain some news….It’s been a busy, busy spring and summer here in Maryland! Housing prices are continuing to climb and I’ve been in a few bidding wars this season. Great news for all to hear! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call or email and I always love referrals!

Please take care and I hope to talk with you soon!
